Questions Matterport Updated on
I already have a Matterport scan. Now what?
The short answer
Then we put your scan in our own 3D viewer.
For that we need the E57 export, which you order once from Matterport. In the viewer you turn around the building, step inside, measure in the space, see a floor plan for each storey and place furniture at true size. The image is that of your scan, and the measurements are as accurate as your scan, without a guarantee. If you do not have a scan yet, or want to start afresh, we scan your building in 3D.
- Needed: the E57 export of your scan, which you order once from Matterport.
- After that your scan runs in our own 3D viewer, on our hosting.
- The measurements are as accurate as your scan, without a guarantee.
- Without a scan it works too: then we scan your building in 3D.

That is all we need to put your scan in our viewer; you do not have to open up the building again for it.
No scan yet? That works too. Then all we need is access to your building, and we scan it in 3D.
What you get in the viewer
- The whole building at a glance
- Measuring in the space
- A floor plan for each storey
- Does it fit?
- The way there

- The whole building at a glance. The dollhouse view: every storey as a model, with the viewpoints in it. Turn around it and step inside.
- Measuring in the space. Click two points and read off the distance, and see the area per room.
- A floor plan for each storey. To scale, with a mini map that turns with where you look.
- Does it fit? Place furniture at true size in the room and see whether it fits.
- The way there. Pick a room and a walking route appears, with arrows on the floor. Or let a guided tour run by itself, with pause and next.
What to know before you start
The image in the viewer is the image of your scan. If you want to zoom in right down to the detail somewhere, a 360 tour can be added, in the same assignment.

The measurements are as accurate as your scan, without a guarantee. An official report comes from a surveyor. From the measured areas the viewer does calculate a first draft of the Dutch rental points valuation. That is not a formal survey either.
Emptying a room is possible too. AI does that, and the image says so.
Try it yourself first
On the 3D page our viewer runs with a sample capture from Matterport, a home with every storey.

There you see in your browser what is possible with your scan, before you order anything.

A few follow-up questions
Can my scan go on my own site afterwards?
Yes. You get a link to your scan in our viewer. You put it on your site or share it, also to one spot in the building.
What does it cost?
If it is clear what you need, you sometimes hear what it costs in the call. Otherwise you hear it afterwards. You order the E57 export yourself from Matterport.
I do not have a Matterport scan yet. Can it still work?
Yes. Then we scan your building in 3D. Read the difference between 360 and 3D.
