Questions before you start

One page per question, with the answer right in the first paragraph. No sales pitch first. Where we have a figure, it is included; where we do not know, that is stated too.

General

  1. Cost

What determines the price of a virtual tour?

An amount without the location attached says little, so usually we first come and look at the location in person.

  2. Lead time

How does making a tour work, and how long does it take?

A 360 tour is live within four weeks of the shooting day. It starts with a thirty-minute call about what you want to show.

  3. Ownership

What happens to my virtual tour if I switch supplier?

That depends entirely on where the tour runs and what your agreement says, and with most providers it says nothing.

  1. Comparison

    Do I choose a 360 tour, a 3D scan or both?

Both are possible, and we do both. A 360 tour is photography: fixed viewpoints in high resolution, from the ground and from the air, linked together.

  2. Google Maps

How do I get my 360 tour onto Google Maps and Street View?

Through Street View Studio, Google's free upload environment. You no longer need a certification for it since Google ended the Street View Trusted programme at the end of 2024.

  3. Privacy

May people appear recognisably in a virtual tour?

Only with their consent, or with another valid legal basis. A recognisable face is personal data, so the moment someone appears recognisably in your tour you are processing personal data and the GDPR (in the Netherlands: AVG) applies.

  4. Accessibility

Does a virtual tour have to be accessible under WCAG?

If the tour sits on the website of a government organisation, yes. Government bodies and semi-public institutions in the Netherlands fall under the Digital Accessibility Act and must comply with the European standard EN 301 549, which adopts WCAG 2.1 level AA.

  1. Matterport

I already have a Matterport scan. Now what?

Then we put your scan in our own 3D viewer. For that we need the E57 export, which you order once from Matterport.

  1. AI furnishing

May I show a room that has been furnished with AI?

Yes, if you say that it is AI, and if what you show is actually possible. Article 50 of the European AI Act requires that imagery of a real place that has been generated or edited with AI is disclosed as such.

Integrations

  1. Integrations

Does booking work with my system?

That depends on your system, and we work that out in the call. There are three ways: a button in the tour to the booking system you already have, your system itself inside the tour, or a backend of your own with a database, payments and management.

Websites and video

  1. Video

What do you need for a company video?

Above all a story: what the video should show, and to whom. Beyond that a place and a moment to film, and the consent of everyone who appears recognisably in view.
