How a tour works for shops

A virtual tour of your shop is a 360° tour that visitors enter from your website, your Google Business Profile or a link. They walk along the shelves, look around and click through to products. We take the photographs in one day, build the tour and host it; it is live within four weeks of the day on location.

The comparison with a web shop does not hold, and that is exactly the point. A web shop shows individual products on a white background. A tour shows your shop: the layout, the atmosphere, how spacious it is, what sits next to what. That is what a physical shop has to offer and a web shop does not, and it is usually the one thing that cannot be found anywhere online.

A tour is also always open. Anyone landing on your website on a Sunday evening can still look around. If someone spots something they want, an information point at the shelf can link through to your web shop, the product page or your opening hours.

Visitors see the layout in advance

What is where, and is it worth the trip? Anyone who can already see that online arrives more focused and more often with a concrete plan.

Products clickable on the shelf

An information point at a product can show the price, give an explanation or link through to your web shop. The tour becomes a shop window that sells.

Always open, even outside opening hours

A tour works on Sundays, in the evening and from the sofa. For a shop that depends on its local area, that is reach it does not have today.

Honestly

  • The room at the top is an impression. Your tour will be a real capture of your own business.
  • One day on location, two for a really large location.
  • It runs on our hosting. You get the link for your site, Google and your email signature.

Questions

My stock changes. Won’t the tour go out of date?

The space stays, the stock changes. The layout, the atmosphere and the fixed interior last for years. If the shop really changes, after a refurbishment for example, we re-shoot individual viewpoints; the whole tour does not need to be redone.

Will customers and staff appear in the images?

We shoot when the shop is empty, usually before opening time or after. If someone does end up in view by accident, we remove them or redo the viewpoint. Staff can deliberately appear, but only with their consent.

Can the tour go onto Google Maps?

Yes. We can publish the images via Street View so they appear on your Google Business Profile. That is a separate channel alongside the tour on your own site, and it is exactly where people search when they are nearby.
